Collaboration Manager 365: Provisioning of apps on the whole tenant

Provisioning of apps on the whole tenant

Since version 1.1.3, SPFx gives you the possibility to install webparts on your whole tenant, so you don't have to install it on all sites of the organization.

In order to use this feature, you have to reinstall the webpart (e.g. SPFx Dashboard). Visit the app catalog. Remove the webpart and add it again. You will be asked to trust the solution. Tick off the checkbox 'Make this solution available to all sites of the organization' and deploy the app.

'AppPart install failed'

If you have already used SPFx Dashboard before and integrated it in a template, mismatching product versions in combination with the usage of this feature will cause a bug.
After activation, the synchronization of workspaces leads to the error 'AppPart install failed'.

To fix this bug, you have to update your apps to current versions. Move to the site contents of your template and look for an update.

After the update, the synchronization of workspaces works again without restrictions.
Alternatively, if you don't want to use the feature, you can reinstall the webpart and remove the check mark 'Make this solutions available to all sites of the organization'.
